Our growth goes beyond OLMA
From the founding of OLMA in Lapão, in 2015, until 2019, the town’s GDP growth was about 39%. According to IBGE data this growth represents an average above the national GDP growth, of about 23%, in the same period. The arrival of OLMA generated about 300 direct and indirect jobs in the region and created opportunity for thousands of local producers.
In addition to boosting the local economy, OLMA participates in projects such as the Água Viva Institute, which operates in the Northeastern hinterland since 2015 in the fields of complementary education, health, income generation and sports. The project helps more than 10.000 vulnerable children. Another project supported by OLMA is More Castor (Mais Mamona) coordinated by ABM (Associação Brasileira de Mamona).
